The Perils of Playing it Safe
A few years ago I decided that I was going to stop doing anything I didn't want to do....I'm sure I've blogged about it before. It's been quite the interesting and I must say successful experiment.
However, one surprising aspect of this decision was not only how hard it was to say no to the things that drained me - but how scary it was to say yes to the things that I wanted to do.

The A-holes I Know

Don't Let Embarrassment Stop You
I thought I would share with you this commencement speech delivered by Steve Jobs to graduates at Stanford University. I love it because he addresses one of the primary reasons that people are unhappy - we live our lives for other people.

Big Egos and Small Imaginations
I often joke with people that I'm unemployable. Whenever I've worked for someone else, my biggest frustration has always been knowing what's possible and having to ask permission to get it done.
